Core Responsibilities
As a Leasing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all aspects of the leasing process, from marketing and advertising to lease signing and move-in.
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide detailed information about the property and its amenities.
- Screen prospective tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying income and rental history.
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damage or repairs needed.
- Address tenant concerns and resolve any issues that may arise during their tenancy.
- Utilize property management software (such as Appfolio) to track leasing activity, lease renewals, maintain accurate records, and generate reports.
- Utilize property management software (such as Appfolio) to receive rental payments while following up on delinquent balances.
- Utilize property management software (such as Appfolio) to inspect properties, enter maintenance requests, and document the condition of the property.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure that all units are in good condition and ready for occupancy.
- Stay up to date on local rental market trends, competitor pricing, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management or leasing is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Appfolio.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills with a focus on providing exceptional service to tenants.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Capable of performing duties without constant monitoring and supervision.
- Knowledgeable in the areas necessary to be successful in this position including typing, communicating, and basic computer software fluency.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,600.00 per year
