General Description
As the maintenance technician, you will be working directly with the Engineer, Head Maintenance Technician, and other building staff. In this position, your chief responsibility is to preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our business premises. The duties will range from small plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs and maintenance to working with vendors and office staff to coordinate work and larger projects.
The position rapidly evolves to include new and more difficult tasks as you become more knowledgeable of building systems. You will need a positive attitude, a good work ethic, problem solving skills and exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Responding to tenant maintenance requests; referring additional questions/requests to the appropriate office personnel.
- Work directly with Engineer and Head Maintenance Tech to walk through building systems and perform regular preventative maintenance. In addition, you will need to assist in developing a regular preventative maintenance plan and procedures.
- Work at multiple properties within our portfolio, recording and repairing any maintenance issues regularly.
- Coordinate with Asset and Property Managers, and vendors on work and larger projects.
- Perform regular cleaning duties as set forth upon initial employment and additional tasks as assigned.
- Perform all other duties and assignments as required and not limited to the above.
Skills & Abilities
- Highschool diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Commercial and Residential Real Estate industry experience preferred, but not required.
- Skills relating to electrical, plumbing, HVAC work or other building maintenance related work preferred, but not required.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field preferred, but not required
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to take on new and additional tasks; ability to pivot from one job to another.
- Proactive in nature.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
