Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Day Porter with expertise in building maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-rise buildings and will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of the property during daytime hours. Senior Day Porter will be assigned to duties such training and retraining on products and procedures, assistance with assigned responsibilities of other Day Porter team members, ensuring consistency, compliance, tenant, and customer satisfaction. Senior Day Porter will assist tracking supplies, maintain lists of inventory orders as necessary and be the point of contact, communicating with Property Management and assist with assigned Lead or Supervisor on behalf of the onsite Day Porter Team. Senior Day Porter will work under the direct supervision of the Property Manager of the assigned building and report to the Supervisor of Day Porters.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Complete day porter responsibilities following cleaning scope for the buildings including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, trash removal, interior/exterior clean up, polishing/glass cleaning and other duties as assigned.

Respond to, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders via the MRI Workspeed work order tracking system.

Daily rounds of all common area walks follow up with assigned staff of findings.
- Assist in monitoring day porter teamwork order metrics and KPI’s; including completion and response time.

Assist in coordinating with staff to respond and complete work orders in time efficient manner through MRI Workspeed procedures.

Assume additional duties as delegated by Management.

Coordination and communications with Engineering / Maintenance Staff as necessary.

Coordination and communications with tenants, customers and building occupants.

Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives as relates to building operations and practice safe work habits.

Be courteous, neat, clean, and in proper uniform; always representing the Company in a professional, moral, and ethical manner.

Assist in reporting inventory of all supplies and ordering all materials related to Lead; Ensure adequate supply of common and special parts, supplies, tools, equipment, and materials required by the Supervisor group.

Assign in light maintenance work as needed such as unclogging toilets, tightening of screws, changing minor light bulbs and batteries, turning on and off flush valves, paint, power wash, and other duties as assigned by management.

Apply Continuum Day porter operation and maintenance standards to ensure safety, efficiency, and operational longevity for all OSHA related equipment.

Provide support to Property Manager and Supervisor to ensure compliance with all governmental codes, laws, and regulations

Demonstrate willingness to accept new and challenging assignments

Education, Experience and Skills Required
-
Three years prior experience in janitorial. Experience in maintenance and commercial office arena preferred.
- Ability to work independently and be responsive to frequent schedule changes.

Ability to interact with co-workers, tenants, contractors, and the public in a positive and professional manner.

Good verbal and written communication skills
-
Must have knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial buildings.

Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, handheld communication device and have knowledge of CMMS software such as MRI Work speed, Dayforce, Outlook, etc.

Be courteous, neat, clean, and in proper uniform; always representing the Company in a professional, moral, and ethical manner.
