PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for supervising the other clerks in processing and maintaining student attendance records; work independently and perform work of a general office nature, which assists, with the smooth operation of the campus
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to operate a computer and related software; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in both English and Spanish, preferred
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of general office experience, preferably in a public education environment

Hourly Pay Range:
Minimum: $13.48
Maximum: $19.00
Note: Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist in the registration and withdrawal process of students.
2. Post enrollment, withdrawals and attendance in the computer on a daily basis.
3. Verify student attendance and other data with campus/district personnel on a periodic basis.
4. Document, reconcile and maintain student data.
5. Maintain a written log of student enrollment, withdrawals and absences.
6. Receive, record and file absence excuses from students.
7. Maintain contact with parents, district personnel and outside agencies regarding student data.
8. Generate reports as required/requested by campus, district, state or federal personnel.
9. Gather all necessary documents for safekeeping and for future audits.
10. Collaborate with campus/district attendance officer.
11. Supervise the operation of the student attendance office.
12. Follow McAllen ISD customer service standard.
13. Perform other duties assigned by immediate supervisor (primary evaluator).
