Our Kirkwood dental office, Magnolia Family Dental, is looking for an experienced Front Office Receptionist with a positive attitude and outstanding verbal skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a natural ability to connect with patients on a personal level and who enjoys multitasking. We are looking for someone who finds joy in helping patients understand their treatment plans and insurance benefits, who is willing to take on new responsibilities and independent projects, and who would enjoy being a part of our small friendly dental team.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
- Billing insurance claims, posting payments, and helping patients understand their benefits.
- Greeting patients warmly by name.
- Answer all incoming calls and electronic correspondence (emails, texts, etc).
- Collect payments and follow up with these as needed.
- Create and manage financial arrangements for patients.
- Answer patient questions regarding treatment plans, insurance, emergency calls, etc. using clinical dental knowledge.
- Manage existing system for confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking tasks lists, etc.
- Oversee the appointment book day to day, fill openings in the schedule, and plan ahead into the future. Work within a block scheduling format.
- Managing recall and continuing care systems.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills

- Solid understanding of dental insurance coding and billing

- Dentrix proficiency preferred
- Efficient at completing tasks
- Ability to multitask
- Organized and detail oriented
- Experience working in a dental front office
