Dereaux Studio is a boutique design firm with several high-end residential projects in Southern California. We are offering an exciting growth opportunity to join our team as an FFE and Interior Architecture Designer. We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a minimum of seven years’ experience in high end residential and hospitality design, who possesses an innate ability to create elevated interior experiences, while also being attentive to the technical details that bring these spaces to life.
The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated and meticulous individual who is able to lead a strong design team and act in a project management role. You are comfortable with the procurement and coordination of high end furniture and galleries. You are technically proficient and possess a strong understanding of materials, assemblies, and best practices for interior details and construction. Previous experience in construction administration and a proven track record of completed work are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate on multiple design projects across luxury high-end residential projects; manage work streams within each project from start to finish.
- Develop drawing and specification packages and generate accurate documentation during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases.
- Lead procurement inside of Studio Designer, and coordinate with our accounting team to ensure proper monthly reconciliations.
- Coordinate to produce plans, elevations, and details to ensure that design intent is captured in documentation packages.
- Coordinate FFE, lead material selection, conduct visual research, maintain a catalogue of desirable furniture and material vendors, produce graphic and visual presentations, generate specifications, and review contractor submittals for design intent.
- Lead project coordination, construction administration, site visits, and maintain quality control during construction as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with various key stakeholders including clients, designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and developers on our projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- We require candidates to possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to multitask across all design phases from inception to completion.
- Proficiency in Studio Designer, Revit and AutoCAD required; Rhino, Adobe Suite, and Sketchup preferred, with refined production skills.
- We require candidates work in office 4 days per week.
