ADHD Online is seeking a Collaborating Physician to join our Medical Treatment team in the state of Tennessee. This role is responsible for providing oversight for our advanced practice providers in applicable states. Our Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants provide medical treatment via telehealth for patients with ADHD and other mental health conditions. Our ideal candidate would have a background in mental healthcare, prior collaborating physician experience, treatment experience with controlled substances, and an interest in TeleMedicine.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute collaborative agreement responsibilities for assigned Collaborative Agreements and periodically renew as required by state law
- Conduct quality reviews of collaborating APPs’ patient charts on a periodic basis based on state regulations or procedures
- Provide oversight and feedback as needed to NP/PA on performance, including areas with opportunity for improvement
- Attend meetings with NP/PA via video conference periodically in accordance with state requirements.
- Availability via telecommunication for consultations on problems, complications, emergencies, and referrals
- Any and all other duties or services required by laws, rules or regulations relating to collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant as designated by your state
- Abides by ADHD Online’s Medical Treatment policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
- Graduation from a US medical school or foreign medical school with ECFMG certification
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO) Required
- Completion of Residency Program in either Internal or Family Medicine
- Board Certification or Board Eligible
- Expertise in the treatment and management of adult and/or pediatric ADHD and mental health conditions, including the prescribing of controlled substances
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience treating patients with ADHD and other mental health conditions
- Prior experience as a collaborative physician
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with technology and the use of electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of federal, state and other applicable standards for clinical practice for assigned area(s) of responsibility
Education/Board Certification/Licensure
- Current, unrestricted State Medical license in Tennessee
- Tennessee DEA license
