SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Job Description
- Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using
Quickbooks.
- Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate categorization.
- Process accounts payable/accounts receivable.
- Maintain current compliance with all Federal, State and Local tax Laws and ensure
all business filings are completed.
- Making sure the accounting procedures comply with current government regulations and
requirements.
- Providing advice on estimated tax payments we should make during the year.
- Partner with various departments on accrual, vendor management and contracts
management.
- Assist with other accounting projects and perform ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial
position/budget variance analysis.
- Perform account analysis and bank reconciliations.
- Work with external auditors twice/year for interim and year end audit.
- Develop financial planning and budgeting models.
- Preparing yearly budgets for review by management.
- Analyze financial reports and pinpoint key issues.
- Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules.
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting
principles (GAAP).
- Create financial forecasts so management can make better decisions in the business.
- Explain the financial statements so management can understand the ins and outs of
the business.
- Help determine areas of growth in the business by providing insight on cash flow
patterns, business financing and work closely/report to finance manager and CFO.
- Willing to work in a small office environment in a close family style setting.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Qualifications
- Accounting or Finance bachelor degree or Accounting certificate required
- Must have at least 5 years accounting experience
- Property management experience preferred and not a must

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
