Job Description:
To support our growth, we are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our service to our regulated industry clients. The Customer & Contractor Advocate provides service for customers, contractors, and business partners while responding professionally, efficiently, and timely answer questions about Utility Energy Efficiency Programs and enhance customer and contractor satisfaction/retention. This hybrid-based role is part of a broad team of subject matter experts who work directly with clients, stakeholders, customers, etc... In addition, it will be part of a larger team of program management outreach, technical, and marketing personnel.
- Providing introductory information to prospective and new customers
- Ensuring that consumers are satisfied with products or services by handling complaints and inquiries
- Following up with clients or customers by phone or email to check that they’re still satisfied with their purchases
- Letting patrons know about additional products or services that might benefit them
- Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a client’s or customer’s questions
- Escalating queries and concerns, when necessary
- Troubleshooting common issues with products or services
- Working with a team of CSRs and other departments to find appropriate solutions to problems
Required Skills:
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze situations and provide effective solutions.
- Experience in outbound calling or customer service is advantageous.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Energy Efficiency experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Keen Attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, others a plus), and CRM software.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing, or potential problems and recommend solutions.
- Strong time management and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency.
- Multilingual capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
