Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a nurturing disposition, and the ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued and respected
- Provide individualized attention to children and adapt teaching strategies to meet their diverse needs
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool program
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred
- State teaching certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Previous experience working with young children in a preschool setting
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- CPR and First Aid certification
