Master Machine and Repair is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector out of Bedford Park, IL
The Company: Master Machine and Repair is a high energy, expanding manufacturing company. We are proud to keep “America’s Industry” going. We repair, manufacture, reverse engineer, and up-engineer parts and equipment to minimize our customer’s downtime. We are a growing company that currently spans 118,000 square feet, which includes CNC production machining, custom large capacity machining, precision OD & ID grinding, gear cutting, fabrication, machinery building/rebuilding, reducer/mixing/shredder repair, breakdown service and reverse engineering.
The Position: Your role is key in ensuring that every product leaving our facility is of the highest quality! We will depend on you to:
- Work closely with our engineers to design an implement a quality management system to establish our quality department.
- Ensure that products leaving our facility are of the highest standard by measuring parts against drawings using a laser scanner, roamer arm portable CMM, material analyzer gun, calipers, micrometers, and surface finish testers and reporting results through inspection reports.
In this role, you will develop deeper knowledge of material applications, machining processes, and how they all come together in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside the engineering team to establish our quality department by designing and implementing your own quality management system. You will be exposed to a variety of different challenges as the projects we work on are always changing and as a result, you will always be learning something new. This position will both hone your technical skills and develop deeper manufacturing knowledge providing a strong base for growth.

Requirements: Essential skills necessary for successful candidate
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to work in a dynamic position, which requires strong organizational and collaborative skills. You are comfortable jumping into different responsibilities at the drop of a hat.
Nice to Have: Skills that are a plus to have, but not required
- Experience using portable CMM roamer arm (Polyworks).
- Experience using a Material Analyzer Gun.
- Experience using a laser scanner.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
