We are seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to join our team at Healthcare South. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's information technology operations, ensuring the IT department provides efficient and effective technical support service to the organization. This role includes overseeing the planning, implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure, applications and systems to support or mission-critical operations and objectives, along with overseeing hardware procurement, provisioning, and delivery, providing on-site support as needed, as well as managing the relationship with external service providers.
Job responsibilities include:
- Lead the development, deployment and implementation of software applications, processes, and platforms for the organization's IT systems
- Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs
- Oversee technical aspects of system upgrades, security of systems networks and enterprise information
- Provide on-site support as needed across all locations, including hardware procurement, distribution and general technical support
- Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
- Coordinate multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP)
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
- Ensure the security of the company's data and information systems
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency
- Facilitate IT security audits and/or investigation
- Provide regular updates, workflow reports, and presentations to the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors
Required Skills:

- Experience with IT infrastructure design and management
- Familiarity with NIST standards for cybersecurity
- Proficiency in CISSP, CISM, ITIL, and PMP is desirable
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT leadership and management roles, preferable within the healthcare industry
- Strong background in desktop support, Microsoft 365, and software administration
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT systems, regulations, and best practices (e.g. EMR/EHR systems, telehealth solutions, interoperability standards)
- Proven track record of successfully leading IT initiatives, driving innovation, and delivering results in a complex, fast paced environment
- Strong strategic planning, project management, and problem solving skills
