Position Summary:
Maintain the cleanliness of the Casino exterior and grounds. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures. Coordinates regularly with Facility Engineers.

In this Role:

Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “Unsurpassed Service Standards.”

Maintain a high level of personal integrity on and off duty.

Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all Guest opportunities.

Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management.

Maintain the cleanliness of exterior areas.

Operate tools and equipment as trained.

Light paintwork as instructed.
-
Move furniture, re-arrange and relocate furniture and equipment.
-
Operate power equipment such as power street sweeper, forklifts, manlifts, cleaning machines, gators, tools and various types of lawn equipment.

Clean biohazard spoils and contaminated areas generally outside. Pick up and remove trash and broken glass.

Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals, fuels and electrical equipment used within the department.

Have knowledge of MSDS booklet location for your area.

Snowplow property during the winter months.

Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.

All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years of age.
-
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.

Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license.

Must have valid forklift and manlift or articulated lift operator certification.

High school or equivalent education preferred.
-
Two (2) years of previous exterior public-area cleaning experience.

Possess basic math skills.
-
Must be able to operate and maintain the power equipment, motorized or mechanized riding cleaners, gators, mowers and other lawn equipment as well as basic cleaning abilities and skills.
Physical Requirements:

Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.

Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.

Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.

Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

Ability to tolerate chemicals, fuels, cleansers and solvents.

Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.
-
Ability to hear and communicate by telephone and radio.
-
Must not have aversion to elevated work areas.
Work Conditions:
Work it typically in an exterior environment which may be unusually hot, cold and/or noisy and be elevated off of the ground. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3ft wide access. Daily tasks may be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Team Member will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas and equipment. Work may entail trained chemical usage. May be exposed to secondhand smoke. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
