Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

POSITION SUMMARY
As the clinic Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for looking at the body as a whole and assisting in the creation of treatment plans for our patients to receive the most comprehensive care. You will be an essential piece of the integrated clinic and will work in tandem to collaborate with professionals to result in the most effective treatment plans and clinical outcomes.
This position requires someone who will be compassionate, caring, optimistic, self-motivated and gets excited about a challenge. You have a willingness to learn, are confident in clinical skills, have excellent communication skills, are flexible, and ultimately are willing to put the time and effort in to learning our systems and procedures. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
● Evaluate new patients to determine if and which services they could benefit from - including patients being seen for various musculoskeletal conditions, neuropathy, and wound care.
● Monitor patients for improvements and setbacks so as to modify services to help clients meet or exceed expectations
● Monitor patients for compliance and effectively communicate the need to follow recommendations
● Effectively and continually educate patients about the need for, and progress through, the care plan
● Complete and document medical exam and orthopedic medical exam
● Supervise and administer injections (trigger point, joint, etc.)
● Assist with seeing patients in our advanced wound care program - including the evaluation, documentation and treatment
● Recognize and acknowledge when patients improve and reach goals
● Assist in the recruitment of new patients through internal and external lead generating activities
● Engage in effective communication with clinical as well as administrative staff to ensure seamless flow of production to allow for increased growth of company’s services delivered to meet the strategic objective of the company
● Oversee management of Medical Assistant(s)
● Properly complete paperwork on each patient encounter and keep notes current by the end of each shift to company standards
● Ensure all patient care is focused on an upstream medical philosophy (prevention and function based) instead of a downstream one (symptom based)
● Will follow all protocols written, including, no prescribing class II narcotics or no prescribing antidepressants to our patients. (Will refer these patients to their primary care physician or specialist for said services if needed)
CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES
● Experience with trigger point injections, large and small joint injections, starting IV’s, and use of Ultrasound guidance is preferred

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
● Valid Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner license. MD/DO also eligible to apply
● Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance
● 2 years’ experience minimum working as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner required
● 1 year experience in a private practice preferred
● Experience injecting joints preferred
● Experience in or desire to learn wound care preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour plus eligibility for bonus structure and profit sharing
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
