*Hand Therapist/Hand Therapy Manager*

Position Summary
The Hand Therapy Clinic Manager is a leadership role which is responsible for performing exceptional patient care, in addition to providing strong leadership to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistants.
Primary Functions & Accountabilities
- Exercises fair and firm leadership of all Office employees, establishing and maintaining high morale in the department
- Monitors the level and standard of work produced by staff and guides, coaches, and advises as appropriate
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods
- Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests
- Conducts regular performance reviews
- Oversees staff payroll, time-cards, and paid time off
- Supervises all non-physician office staff and ancillary personnel, coordinating activities to accomplish the goals of the practice and the office
- Implements and monitors office policies and procedures
- Works with the management team and office staff to coordinate the functions of patient care services across the practice
- Ensures superior service for all patients of the practice
- Consults with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms
- Diagnoses movement dysfunction and develops a treatment plan
- Teaches patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques
- Assists patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
- Maintains patient records and documents goals and progress
- Utilizes knowledge of patient's diagnosis, signs, and symptoms presented and results of diagnostic studies to determine the patient's level of function
- Sets priorities and establishes realistic short-term goals and long-term outcomes
- Documents and maintains a plan of care for each patient which includes specific physical therapy orders in coordination with the medical plan of care
- Appropriately utilizes the capabilities of personnel in assignment of self and team members
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High proficiency with computers, MS Office, and practice management systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must, along with excellent leadership, customer service, and service recovery skills.

Position Requirements
- BS, MS or Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
- Current Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation preferred
- Orthopedic practice experience in Hand Therapy highly preferred
- Current CPR Certification
