Job Summary: Provides manual labor and maintenance services to support the activities and operations of the Cultivation Department, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Essential Functions
· Responsible for executing all assigned maintenance operations including: scheduled maintenance activities, facility repairs, performing preventative maintenance and calibration on electrical equipment, repairing minor electrical issues, plumbing equipment, equipment breakdowns, HVAC units, humidifiers/ dehumidifiers, grow lights, and other equipment as necessary.
· Responsible for performing assigned tasks, completing projects, and meeting expectations in relation to all maintenance operations, such as: assembling and disassembling scaffolding; maintaining machinery (both stationary and mobile); and repairing (if necessary) Grow lights, HVAC units, dehumidifiers/humidifiers, automatic irrigation systems, air filters, automated packaging machines, chillers, tablet presses, CO2 extraction machines, air compressors, and industrial plumbing systems; assembling, installing, repairing, and/or disassembling.
- Maintaining the heating and air conditioning systems, industrial water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators. Also responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing racks, shelves, and tables within the grow area, and chairs/ desks within the office area.
· Maintaining full compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements, and remaining familiarity with applicable laws and regulations.
- Using scaffolding, portable ladders, fork lifts, and scissor lifts in accordance with OSHA Regulations and company policies and procedures.
· Performing routine inspections of all relevant equipment, and consulting with the Compliance Team to ensure all schedule maintenance procedures are up to date.
· Record all equipment inspections, general maintenance activities, and general repairs in accordance with the OAC Chapter 3796 into company maintenance logs.
· Maintain open communication with supervisors and managers regarding facility issues, general inventory, maintenance schedules, inspection schedules, and other matters.
· Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
· The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and adjust as necessary.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate required. Certificate, Diploma, or Associate’s Degree from a Technical Program required, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. 3 years of previous manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- Certifications – HVAC Certification preferred, any certifications relevant to the job description.
- Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical schematics. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Computer Skills - personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, spreadsheets, etc. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Other Qualifications – Reliable transportation. Valid Driver’s License required.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high (loud). The individual frequently works in a controlled climate with warm to hot temperatures and higher than average humidity. The individual will be exposed to the outside elements (when appropriate). The individual will be walking, standing, leaning, and crouching throughout the workday on concrete flooring. The individual will be exposed to plant waste, general humidity, and bright LED lights. Sufficient PPE will be provided by the Company such as: LED protective eye wear, waterproof aprons & gloves, non-latex gloves, face masks/respirators, hair nets, beard nets, hypoallergenic & unscented soap, and general uniforms fit for the climate the individual will be exposed to most often.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to work on their feet, and be comfortable walking, crouching, and standing for long periods of time.
The Individual will be working with their hands 100% of the time performing dexterous tasks with heavy duty manual labor.
The individual will often use scaffolding and/or portable ladders to reach higher-tiered items such as HVAC units, Grow lights, humidifiers & dehumidifiers, and filters.
The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Stipulation of employment is passing an OHIO BCI and FBI background check in accordance with ORC/OAC 3796.
Employees are not allowed to work on the premises until the badge is activated in the Ohio Department of Medical Marijuana e-Licensing portal. Must be 21 years or older to apply.
