Purpose
The Regional Sales Manager reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer supporting Bluegrass Supply Chain and Bluegrass Dedicated. The RSM is a key position overseeing and managing sales activities for both the supply chain and transportation businesses. The primary goals are to achieve sales targets, increase revenue, and ensure growth and success of Bluegrass Supply Chain and Bluegrass Dedicated.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance for Bluegrass Supply Chain/Bluegrass Dedicated.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Use market insights to adjust sales strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, dispatchers, and finance to ensure a coordinated approach to customer satisfaction and business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or an industry-relevant field required.
- Master of Business Administration is a plus.
- 5 + years sales or business development experience.
- Firsthand experience with SRM software and sales analytical tools.
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Results driven and customer focused.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
