Position Summary:
Quirch Foods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Warehouse team. This employee is responsible for, among other things, managing and overseeing all installation and upkeep within the company’s facilities. Additionally, the maintenance supervisor is responsible for establishing inspection processes for review by internal and/or external agencies, as well as implementing preventive maintenance programs to be used within the facility.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify areas for improvement and assign workers to take care of issues
- Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance
- Perform administrative tasks as required
- Delegate tasks to meet maintenance schedule and satisfy employer needs
- Ability to clean, paint, operate electric tools, repair, and install things for the warehouse- as would any other maintenance associate
- Supervise and lead all maintenance operations and processes
- Develop and track annual budget for the maintenance department
- Ensure that all machinery is maintained and at working standards
- Regularly inspect the facility to detect and resolve problems as early as possible
- Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with co-workers
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance
- Account for all tools, materials, and relative equipment- place orders for new supplies as needed
- Work safely in accordance with company safety rules and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade
- Previous managerial experience is preferred
- Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of washing and cleaning in a cold warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of the facilities’ machines and equipment
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
- Basic knowledge of computers
