Camp Allen's mission is to provide opportunities for growth, friendship and fun to children and adults with developmental and/or physical challenges in an outdoor environment. Located in Bedford, New Hampshire, Camp Allen provides both day and residential camp.
Camp Allen is in search of an RN or LPN to live and work at our summer camp for children and adults with disabilities. The Camp Nurse is responsible for ensuring the health and wellness of all campers and staff. The Camp Nurse will communicate regularly with cabin staff and administer medication and first aid as needed. Please check out our website to see more about who we are and what we do:
The position requires living onsite whilst the session is active. Here is a list of sessions available.
Session 1: June 9 - June 14
Session 9: August 11 - August 16
We need two nurses for each session so you can choose to work one session or several sessions depending on availability.
Living quarters, laundry services and meals are provided. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform health screenings of all staff and campers at camp upon their arrival.
Pour, dispense, record, and store medications, ensuring compliance with all state and federal licensing and ACA (American Camp Association) requirements.
Perform first aid as needed, ensuring all Camping & Recreation health services policies and procedures are followed.
Communicate with parents/caregivers and medical professionals regarding camper care in a professional and caring manner.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of supplies and communicate any needs to Camp Director.
Communicate with the Camp Director/Nursing Director regarding camper and staff medical needs on a daily basis.

Qualifications:
Minimum age of 21
Current License as a RN/LPN in the State of NH Educational and/or Experience:
Experience working in residential or medical setting is preferred. Past camp or recreation health services experience desired.
RN license preferred.
