Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient medical history, and preparing patients for examinations
- Assist healthcare professionals with procedures and treatments
- Administer medications as directed by physicians
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide patient education on various health topics
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques
- Proficiency in medication administration and handling medical equipment
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
