Fleet Mechanic
The ideal candidate will perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary truck, heavy, equipment, and small engine repairs. This position works with a high degree of independence, and requires a number of physically demanding movements including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, manipulating and handling objects.
Primary Job Accountabilities
Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
Answer road calls
Maintain and repair fleet equipment
Maintain records such as daily checklist (pre-trip inspection), service history, routine maintenance schedule, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by management (driving, deliveries, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Mechanical knowledge of gas and diesel repair, both large and small engine (trucks, cars, tractors, mowers, etc.)
Must have a valid drivers license (CDL preferred, but not required)
Helpful Experience
Working with computers
Knowledge of DOT Compliance standards
Working with manufacturing standards (current standards, latest technology, electronics, etc.)
Welding experience preferred, but not required
