The Registered Behavior Technician is responsible for providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children in our program. They implement principles of the discipline in the implementation of positive behavior intervention (DBP) programs. Registered Behavior Technicians must have a great love and patience for children with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions and have a sense of humor. They will be reliable and have an interest in continuing their education in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a Registered Behavior Technician include but are not limited to the following:
- Implement programs using a one-on-one or small group approach with children with disabilities. The BT provides one-to-one or small group services based on the needs of the child(ren). The services may include, but are not limited to, behavior intervention, social skills, speech/language therapy, and occupational therapy.
- Collect data on each session of treatment by using the BT system. This data includes information about child behavior, parent involvement, parent stressors, etc..
- Multitasking while collecting data. Must be able to take notes while providing services
- Maintain communication with supervising RBT and BCBA regarding the child's progress and next session.
- Follow all state regulations regarding treatment. These include but are not limited to reporting all incidents/incidents involving the child(ren), attendance at all scheduled sessions, and attendance at all BT meetings. All BT's must be dressed in proper safety gear at all times while working in the field.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to data collection forms, treatment notes, parent involvement forms, etc.
- Must know how to play and communicate with children.
- Must be willing and ready to take the RBT exam within 60 days of employment.
- Must have great organizational skills.
- Must have experience working in the field and be a Registered Behavior Technician.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must have some experience in mental health field
- The summer schedule boasts an abundance of available hours. Be available for morning, afternoon, or evening hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
