Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Duties:
- Manages all associate relations. This entails providing and promoting positive associate relations and ensures the Open Door policy is communicated and managed effectively. Provides assistance, guidance and counseling to the General Manager, management staff and the line associates in order to maximize the quality and professionalism of the hotel staff by listening and interpreting concerns and objectives and seeking solutions. Implements and administers policies and programs related to the management of all hotel personnel. Monitors for fair and consistent practices.
- Instructs the management staff in effective recruiting and interviewing techniques using methods such as verbal presentations and written directions to ensure the hiring and retention of qualified and efficient associates. Conducts initial interviews for all positions. Ensures applicant tracking is up to date and within the hotel’s required guidelines.
- Monitors associate development and utilization to their maximum potential by controlling the implementation, administration and monitoring of all training programs. Facilitates training classes, analyzes and reviews current and proposed methods, consults with and makes recommendations to the management staff for improvement.
- Reviews and appraises all personnel changes and paperwork for merit and accuracy. Approves all required Human Resources forms and employment requisitions.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, city regulations and court rulings which pertain to Human Resources by reviewing current management practices. Implements new procedures and communicates verbally and in writing any new requirements.
- Ensures the human resources department provides a high level of service to management and team members.
- Administration of all employee files, including training records. Responsible for maintaining all the personnel administrative records including monitoring time edits, payroll and progressive discipline documentation.
- Monitors safety programs and Workers’ Compensation benefits.
- Maintains all hotel personnel records and Human Resources files to ensure confidentiality where necessary.
- Composes, types and distributes general Human Resources correspondence such as those announcing policy revisions.
- Answers telephone inquiries.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,000.00 - $80,500.00 per year
