Qualifications:

Current License and national certification as a Family/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Required).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Entrepreneurial new NPs are welcome to apply. A minimum of one year as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Competent with blood draws, injections, and IV administration.

Proficient use of electronic EMR.

Current, valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) from the Texas Board of Nursing.

Pediatrics: 1 year preferred.
Job Description:

The Family/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work under the Medical Doctor with patient care maintaining efficient patient flow as well as quality and comprehensive care during clinic hours.

The FNP/PNP will provide high-quality and personalized care to all patients.

All employees hired at POWB/WATS will have some responsibility at the Med-Spa. All Nurse Practitioners will be responsible for IV therapy, vitamin injections, GLP receptor agonist injections, and other Spa treatments.
Major Areas of Responsibility:

Work with EMR and assist the Medical Doctor with patient care.

Oversee Lab duties (UA, Strep tests, lab orders, and vaccine administration).

Ability to interpret signs and symptoms elicited through history and physical.

Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and manage priorities and workflow.

Encompass oral skills and strong organizational and analytical skills.

Administrative duties include but are not limited to vaccine ordering, inventory oversight, and complex referrals.

On-call for the Pediatric Office and Med-Spa.
Skills, Education, and Required Experience:

A basic understanding of pediatric practice fundamentals.

Ability to provide patient education.

Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development in infants through adolescence.

Either prior skills developed in a Med Spa environment or eagerness to learn.
Job Type: Part-Time to possibly Full Time after training.
