Two site medical practice (Sandy Springs, Cumming) is seeking an energetic and outgoing team member to serve as our front office coordinator/patient liaison.
The position as our patient liason is primarily responsible for ensuring a great patient experience for each patient being seen in our office. Duties will include scheduling patient appointments, verification and updating of patient demographics and insurance, answering phones, coordinating any referrals for patients coming into our office or those needing services with our partners. This individual works as an essential part of our office team and may occasionally have additional duties to assist in the care given to our patients. Team players only!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Above all else, patient liaison must remember that they are the first impression that patients have of our practice, whether in person or on the phone.
- Attention to both the big and small details is essential for success in this position.
- Greets and checks-in patients, updates all necessary information, assists patients with any changes to information on file.
- Accurately enters all insurance and demographics information into electronic medical record to eliminate billing errors.
- Answers phones and schedules and/or cancels patient’s appointments appropriately, answers inquiries about procedures, and insurance.
- Checks patients out, collecting any co-pays or outstanding balance, and scheduling the next visit.
- Responds to email, online, and voicemail appointment requests and inquiries.
- Confirms appointments for the following day to help reduce missed appointments.
- Responds to records requests and sends out records as appropriate.
- Must have the ability to handle the pressure of a fast-paced environment as the practice grows.

Education and Experience
Previous front desk experience is preferred but not required. Skills can be taught, having a great attitude can not.
