Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Ethical AI (Artificial Intelligence) Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our AI systems are developed and deployed with fairness, transparency, and accountability. The Ethical AI Specialist will be responsible for developing ethical guidelines, identifying and mitigating biases, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ethical guidelines and frameworks for AI systems.
- Ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability in algorithmic decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI development.
- Identify biases in AI algorithms and datasets.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate biases and reduce the risk of unintended discrimination or harm.
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations of AI systems to ensure ongoing fairness.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to AI ethics and privacy.
- Ensure that AI systems comply with current laws and industry standards.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory concerns.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in big data sets to develop insights.
- Perform data mining, cleaning, and aggregation to prepare data for analysis.
- Implement data models, conduct analysis, and develop databases.
- Design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions for the organization.
- Interpret results from multiple structured and unstructured data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques and tools.
- Evaluate and refine AI models to enhance performance and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with teams to understand each data analysis project's underlying purpose, focus, and objectives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and ethical considerations to non-technical audiences.
- Generate reports and presentations to inform stakeholders of findings and recommendations.
- Assess model performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Refine model architectures and training procedures iteratively.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on AI ethics and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 4 minimum years of experience in data analysis, data mining, and data aggregation.
- Strong knowledge of AI ethics, bias detection, and mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the context of AI and data privacy.
- Proficiency in programming, statistical, and analytical techniques and tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $123,280 to $168,325 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
