This position is for our student housing property, University Village. University Village has 1,126 units/1831 beds.
As a Plumbing Technician, you will be installing basic plumbing fixtures, toilets, tub drains, shut offs, etc as well as maintain the plumbing systems of our student housing facility at University Village. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential plumbing, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our student residents.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and address issues promptly.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances in apartment units.
Respond to service calls from students and property management staff in a timely manner to resolve plumbing issues.
Collaborate with maintenance team members to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
Assist in developing preventative maintenance plans to prevent plumbing problems and ensure the longevity of plumbing systems.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing plumbing tasks.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
5 years experience in advanced plumbing work, preferably in apartment or housing environment
Experience with water line repairs up to 3" line
Experience with low pressure boiler repair and maintenance
Experience in Cabling Main line drains and utilization of camera to troubleshoot.
Knowledge of baseboard water generated heating systems preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
