Our client has multiple remote, full-time, direct hire openings for skilled, energetic and motivated Sales Engineers.
The successful candidates will have a strong support team with a dedicated, in-house Sales Manager and Product Specialists to assist them with customizing customer orders, recommendations and to fulfill and close the sale process. You will be provided with all the tools necessary to be successful!
Successful candidates must have the following:
- Experience selling capital equipment (machinery, industrial, construction, etc.)
- High energy and the ability to build business rapport and relationships with past, current and potential customers
- Ability to explain to customers how your machinery products can assist them to perform at a more efficient and cost savings level. The customers' nature of business will always have a need for your product.
- Ability to maintain momentum, follow-up and support throughout the entire sales process
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Details:
- A company car is provided along with the potential to earn up to $125K in your first year, based on your productivity!
- Base salary starts at $50-62K + a full menu of benefits.
- Candidates must be able to work remotely and will be expected to travel no more than an 8-hour travel radius.

The Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in the organized development of the assigned sales territory. The position will focus on acquiring and developing new customers and markets, as well as nurturing repeat sales to existing customers.
Sales and Business Development:
1. Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned territory via cold calls, in-bound leads and external marketing initiatives
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
3. Conduct product presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
4. Work with Sales Manager to negotiate and close sales orders ensuring profitable outcomes for the company
5. Travel extensively, within the assigned territory, to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows
6. Occasional international travel to Corporate Headquarters will occasionally be required for company events and presentations
Technical Expertise:
1. Understand customer requirements through in-person site visits and after-visit recap meetings with internal Product Managers to define customer-specific solutions
2. Skilled in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate equipment solutions
3. Knowledge and experience with various types of capital equipment, including but not limited to; CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, punch presses, shearing machines, and automated material handling systems
4. Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to address customer requirements and resolve issues
Organizational Skills:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using SalesforceCRM software
2. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis as directed by supervisor
3. Remain organized and manage time effectively to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
4. Maintain and provide timely documentation of expense reports and lost business records
Education / Experience:
- College degree preferred but not required
- Minimum of three years previous experience selling capital equipment machinery
- Proficiency with MS Office and Salesforce
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong technical knowledge of capital equipment with the ability and desire to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies
- Experience in sheet metal machinery is preferred but not required
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Excellent customer service, negotiation and presentation skills
