Position Summary: This position is responsible for the strategic negotiation and procurement of materials and equipment for the Separation Diision. This person will work with multiple suppliers to get the best prices and lead times as needed by the business.
Principal Duties:
- Plan and execute strategic procurements of engineered equipment for Andritz Separation facilities in North America.
Analyze purchase requisitions and re- iew for accuracy, completeness, and clarity. Obtain any missing information if necessary.
Plan and prepare RFQ’s and send to multiple suppliers to get the best prices and lead times a- ailable.
- Coordinate and negotiate the technical aspects of scope, price, and lead time according to project plans.
Research, identify, and select suppliers according to scope, price, and deli- ery.
Create purchase orders checking for accuracy and working with stakeholders for appro- al.
Reiew confirmations in accordance with PO’s and resol- e discrepancies as needed.
- Follow-ups and expediting of purchase orders as necessary to meet project schedules.
Contribute to the achieement of Procurement KPIs for negotiated saings, COQ co- erage, supplier pre-qualifications, payment terms, etc.
Participate in resol- ing problems and urgencies from sales, engineering, project management and other departments.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business. A concentration in supply chain management is a plus.
Proen experience in procurement, with a minimum of 5 years of releant experience as a buyer in a manufacturing en- ironment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, SAP, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent skills in planning, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience reading technical specifications and drawings.
Familiarity with legal and ethical aspects of procurement and - endor management.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
