Job Summary
Are you an aspiring Junior Accountant looking for an opportunity to advance your career? We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing team, who we can rely on to manage our company's daily accounting tasks. You will help maintain order and transparency of company’s finances٫ working together with our CFO. Your work will raise company awareness of its financial condition and thus increase the overall efficiency of our operations.
We expect you to be aware of accounting principles and best practices٫ and be able to perform calculations with attention to detail efficiently. Our ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running, work within a team environment and take initiative when needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile bank accounts for Two accounts on monthly basis.
- Create invoices in Quickbooks and NetSuite.
- Record vendor bills in the AP modules.
- Record bank transactions for management approval.
- Reconcile outstanding receivables and liabilities (including loans) at month end.
- Post accrual journals such as, payroll, depreciation, interest expense etc.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts keeping them accurate, relevant, and fully accessible.
- Conduct month-end financial closing, including a review of accounts monthly before final submission to management.
- Prepare the monthly financial report.
- Assist in the preparation and adherence of Company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of yearly information requested by external auditors.
- Assist in the preparation of Budgets.
- Participate in organizing balance sheets٫ income statements and other relevant financial documentation following company's guidelines.
- Help senior accountants with other kinds of accounting operations.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in financial accounting.
- Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting, cost control and inventory.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite (preferable).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA license preferred.
