The Financial Analyst - Clinical Trials will be a hybrid role supporting both FP&A and Accounting. This roles will support the accounting group and have significant responsibilities within the financial planning process related to our clinical trials. The successful applicant would ideally have direct experience supporting clinical trials.
This position is Hybrid and will be in office 2-3 days per week
Working with the accounting group in regard to assistng with journal entries for clinical trials and reconcile clinical trial accruals to the balance sheet.
· Review, reconcile, and approve site invoices for Principal Investigator sites for clinical trials.
· Maintain and improve accuracy of detailed forecast models for multiple existing and future clinical trials. Provide leadership, collaboration, and input into the development and usage of internal dashboards and metrics that help the leadership team monitor important KPIs, business drivers, and trends related to clinical trial spend.
· Support the completion and distribution of the company monthly management reports and dashboards.
· Work with functional leaders and project managers to develop forecasts, budgets and long-range plans (5-years) by activity for Clinical programs.
· Monitor clinical trial actual vs. forecast spend on an ongoing basis.
· Liaise with R&D cost center business leads to review monthly finance reports, identify and communicate any material risks and/or opportunities, and discuss/research budget line-item variances.
· Support annual financial audits and quarterly reviews.
· Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as needed.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience and Skill Requirement:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Financial Analysis within the clinical trials area
- Strong systems skills; experience with / ERP systems, Oracle is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
