LaBar Golf Renovations (LGR, LLC) is a high-end golf course construction and renovation company doing business throughout the United States. LGR, LLC has an immediate opening for a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement management and possess excellent negotiation skills.
RESPONSINBILITES
- Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials
- Maintain and build upon the purchasing function for the company
- Cultivate national accounts to facilitate best pricing and services for projects throughout the US
- Establish approved local vendors for purchasing last-minute materials for all job location
- Enhance and maintain purchase order process
- Oversee Corporate credit card program and spending
- Ensure adherence for all materials purchasing to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Evaluate spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
- Develop purchasing analytics to help communicate with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
- Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement
- Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
- Develop and deliver project material lists to ensure the field teams have all necessary materials when needed to successfully complete projects
- Maintain strong communications with field teams to deliver additional material needs during project implementation
REQUIREMENTS
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to exercise independent judgment while problem solving
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing
- Self-motivated, organized, and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- Strong negotiation and networking skills
