THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to support the hiring efforts for hourly talent within assigned client groups in the organization, delivering the "Right People for the Right Jobs at the Right Time". The TA Specialist will conduct candidate sourcing and screening, recommending candidates to hiring teams. It is the responsibility of the TA Specialist to ensure the most qualified applicants are selected for candidacy on open roles and pipeline positions. The TA Specialist executes the company recruitment strategy which is designed to ensure an ongoing diverse applicant pool rich in experience and skill. This is a full cycle recruiting role, delivering the company's core service standards, brand attributes, and sustainability initiatives.
THE STARTING RATE: $23.00
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Conducts information-gathering call with assigned hiring manager for each new job requisition, build relationships with business leaders to gain insight into operations and better understand the functions of all positions within each department.
- Ensures job postings are succinct and accurate and are posted across all appropriate sourcing channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, indeed, local job boards, MGM career site. Etc.).
- Execute a sourcing strategy for each open job requisition to recruit quality and diverse external candidates, leveraging technology tools used by the company to build a talent pipeline for assigned roles.
- Screens interested applicants by building a skilled based and weighted questionnaire specific to each open job requisition to determine relevant skills and experience.
- Forwards screened candidates for Hiring Manager review and assist hiring managers with adherence to the process; assist with any questions.
- Meets with client teams regularly in-person to remain up to date on coming needs, driving a more pro‐active solution to hiring.
- Reviews WORKDAY and BI dashboard to determine applicant status in real time to ensure compliance to hiring policies and reduce candidate turnover.
- Participates in regular hiring events to deliver qualified candidates for the business, professionally represent MGM Resorts International.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 1+ Years of prior relevant experience involving candidate interviewing, evaluation and placement.
- Desire to grow career in the HR field.
- Highly ethical and discreet with ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with various levels of stakeholders.
