JOB SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Director will maintain clean, efficient, and smooth operations of the physical facilities of all River City Church and affiliated buildings.
QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and give work direction to a team of Housekeeping Employees and Volunteers and coordinate with other teams such as Maintenance.
· Manage a team of employees and outside vendors, as necessary.
· Manage schedules to ensure proper coverage for normal business hours as well as special events.
· Perform annual Performance Reviews for team members. Give timely feedback on an ongoing basis.
· Document any performance issues and manage employee corrective plans as necessary.
· Ensure employees receive proper training, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure proper coverage is maintained to guarantee general cleanliness of all facilities. Cleaning responsibilities are also assumed to be part of this position, when necessary.
· Oversee and participate in the setup and tear down for events.
· Ensure items and furnishings are kept in their proper storage spaces when not in use. Ensure all items are stored prior to Sunday mornings or large conference events.
· Maintain inventories of all housekeeping supplies and reorder as necessary.
· Create cleaning schedules for housekeeping team that ensures facilities are properly cleaned. This includes regular cleaning, as well as periodic deep cleaning such as, but not limited to, shampooing of carpets, waxing floors and cleaning exterior windows.
· Maintain equipment and ensure proper usage.
· Order and shop for all requested supplies, which may include, but is not limited to, office or grocery supplies. Additional driving responsibilities for order pickups may be needed.
· Ensure laundering for the Lafayette Location and Adventure Station, as well as items that may need laundering from other locations.
· Assist in exterior snow removal on sidewalks and applying salt, as needed.
· Prep food serving areas for large events.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize projects.
· Clean driving record and reliable transportation required.
EXPECTATIONS:
· Evening and weekend hours required, as needed for events.
· Open buildings on the weekends, if necessary.
· Standard working hours are 7 am – 4 pm on Monday-Friday. This exempt position will require work attendance based on the needs of the church and events which may include evenings and weekends.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
· At least 5 years of experience managing a team preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to bend, lift stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain facilities.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
