The Epiphany School of Charlotte is a non-profit, independent day school bringing exceptional academic, social, and emotional programs and support to extraordinary children in grades 3 through 8 with ASD-1 (formerly known as Asperger’s) or other communication differences, and with average to above-average intelligence.
Our small class instruction and specialized curriculum tailored to each child’s learning profile, social communication ability and sensory needs enables our students to develop success skills for high school and beyond.
We are looking for a Mathematics Teacher to join our team and provide students in grades 4-8 with an engaging and inspiring learning experience. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of mathematics, the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple way, and the ability to create engaging lesson plans. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students and parents. The Teacher should have experience with twice exceptional students, and/or students with ASD-1 (formerly Asperger's) or other social communication differences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of all students.
- Assess student learning and progress through tests, quizzes, and other methods.
- Provide feedback to students on their performance.
- Create a positive learning environment for students.
- Encourage critical thinking and problem solving skills in the classroom.
- Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance instruction.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to develop curriculum.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
