Linde + Wiemann U.S., Inc. is looking for a motivated Supply Chain Specialist. This position is responsible for organization and coordination of various key logistical activities. The Supply Chain Specialist works onsite with team members and supervisors to execute schedules for shipping, receiving and warehouse functions. Responsible for warehouse inventory activities, including order delivery accuracy and inventory accuracy while ensuring compliance to our customers shipping standards.
Other Responsibilities:
- Confirm requirements from customer and enter into ERP system
- Coordinate internal actions based on information received from production and dispatch.
- Act as the main interface for customers regarding logistics topics and escalate as necessary to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Work with supply chain team to ensure customer needs are fulfilled
- Optimize inventory performance via trend forecasting
- Responsible for material planning to support the production forecast
- Manage the complete inventory control process (Inventory counting and reconciling and daily capture and control of finished goods in Xpert)
- Work to improve supply chain processes within the organization
- Work with Purchasing Department to procure material and manage order quantities
- Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures
- Responsible for container management process (internal and customer owned) (Ensure that production floor has enough containers to produce customer orders) (Ensure that suppliers have empty containers for parts) (Ensure defined warehouse space for empty containers is organized and optimized)
- Respond to changes in demand and resolve supply chain issues
- Establish audit sustainable processes within materials management
- Implement lean material replenishment strategies
- Support and promote continuous supplier performance and improvements
- Apply and implement SCM standards, tools and processes to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor when the suppliers weekly transport can not arrive due to trucking issues.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with customers. Ensure the ‘best way’ with transportation.
- Prepares reports on logistics performance measures
- Other duties as assigned
Training/Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associates in Business or related field a plus not required
- Five (5) or more years of supply chain or related professional experience
