How you'll make an impact:
If you have a proven ability to access situations quickly, apply established protocols against cases, think strategically, and reach consensus within an organization, we want you on our team. We are seeking an experienced, consultative healthcare Quality Control Underwriting Specialist to be a key member of our business. We look to our team members to be the best in the business, both analytically and in their ability to communicate their findings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for driving quality benefit quote submissions – ensure high quality and accurate document collection

Resolves most questions and problems independently as the subject matter expert

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with the sales force and health insurance carriers
-
Diligently share your industry knowledge and actively support and collaborate with colleagues, as well as prospects
-
Contribute recommendations and support to initiatives focused on improving processes, procedures, and practices
-
Provide lead in the development and execution of training materials
-
No formal supervisory responsibility; however, coaching and driving effective, best practices is expected
About you:
Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience required.
Preferred:
-
Minimum 3 year applicable healthcare rating/underwriting experience; healthcare brokerage environment or insurance carrier preferred

Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-
Knowledge on Small and Large group health funding disciplines
-
Understanding of Self-Funded and Level-Funded funding arrangements
-
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to work well in team-based environment
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications and Microsoft Office
