Concierge Internal Medicine office looking for professional and experienced Medical Assistant or LPN for full time position. We hire a medical staff that is uniquely qualified to provide skilled care along with a compassionate approach and an interest in taking the time to connect with each and every patient.
This is a very administrative role. There are in-person clinical components, but the responsibilities predominately center around coordination of care. A successful candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with a warm, wonderful bedside manner and an interest in making a meaningful connection with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Field clinical calls and emails from patients
- Escort patients to exam rooms or physician office
- Obtain patient vitals
- Provide patient phlebotomy & injections
- Input data associated with vitals, diagnoses and prescriptions into patient record
- Transmit new prescriptions and authorize prescription refills
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments and procedures
- Interface with insurance to secure prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Call patients with laboratory and radiology results
- Provide support clearing fax inbox
- Additional tasks as deemed appropriate by medical staff
Qualifications:
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant education program and have a minimum of three years of relevant MA experience
- A minimum of three years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and background in customer service environment
- Display a high level of professionalism in both appearance and communication skills
- Demonstrate patience and exemplary customer service in all patient interactions
- Work with others in a cooperative and supportive manner
- Respond positively to constructive feedback
- Possess strong organizational skills and ability to effectively multitask
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50 - $26.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
