The Electrical Engineer will evaluate existing electrical systems and propose cost-effective improvements. They will be responsible for generating electrical BOMs, creating wiring schematics, conducting quality assurance, inspecting equipment, running diagnostics, and ensuring projects are completed on time and according to specifications. The engineer will also assist in the development of equipment by incorporating emerging technologies and implementing industry-leading controls design practices for high-speed automated packaging equipment.

Develop, review, update, and modify PLC, Motion, and HMI Code
Create and maintain BOMs
Develop, review, update, and modify safety systems to ensure compliance with standards.
Design Electrical schematics and Panel layouts to meet NEC / NFPA 70, UL508 standards.
Program using IEC standards LD, IL, SFC, ST.
Research new components to stay current with advanced technologies.
Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical schematics.
Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, and other engineers to ensure projects meet specifications.
Build relationships with customer-facing organizations, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals to expand networks.
Solve supply chain challenges by finding alternative parts when preferred components are unavailable.
Analyze existing processes and schedule meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
Conduct research, perform diagnostics, and troubleshoot equipment
Drive development projects by leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
Provide support for machine production and installation:
Support Technical Sales managers on platform production projects.
Respond to queries, troubleshoot, conduct studies, and provide estimates.
Offer cost-effective solutions to issues affecting customer products while maintaining design integrity.
Support field service during machine commissioning.
Work with customers to integrate machines into projects.
Provide guidance to assembly teams during the manufacturing process.
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
2 years of experience in electrical/controls/programming - Required
Packaging Machinery experience - Preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Practical experience with Electrical CAD software.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Excellent motivational skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Develop standard machinery controls designs to address customers' packaging needs.
Ensure accuracy of calculations for the design of automation mechanisms and equipment, including electrical and pneumatic systems.
