New Pastry/Bakery shop located in Brooklyn is looking for an experienced Baker.
- French Pastry (éclair, cake, Fraisier, mousse, etc...) plus familiarity with common baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment
- Must be a self-starter, multitasking and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be committed to maintaining and improving product quality and productivity.
- Proactive team player, who always look for ways to improve the way we work.
- Respectful, positive, team-oriented attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Production of French pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
- Prepare ingredients and handle baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Monitor Supplies: stock of ingredients and other necessary items and refer to the general manager to place orders to restore inventory.
- Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards on a regular [and] ongoing basis
Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 2 years.
- French Pastry production knowledge
Skills
- English language proficiency. French language is a plus
- Organization skills
- NYC Food Handler Certificate a must
