Key Responsibilities
- Co-manage School Services Associate team to plan for an inviting, exciting, and innovative aftercare program, inclusive of developing quarterly scope and sequences;
- Communicate with families regarding the aftercare program, inclusive of expectations, policies, procedures, and payments;
- Co-create and co-manage systems for aftercare program attendance procedures and aftercare program payment procedures;
- Ensure that nursing services are provided to scholars during the aftercare program;
- Ensure all programmatic components are aligned with requirements for Bright from the Start;
- Maintain inventory and care of equipment and materials for aftercare program;
Recess and Community Connections Program
- Plan and supervise a safe and joyful recess (K-4) and Community Connections (5-7) environment for all scholars, including creating grade-level appropriate structured activities;
- Support the School Services Associate team in executing daily recess responsibilities;
- Support the Middle Academy team in executing daily Community Connections responsibilities;
- Communicate with families and instructional team regarding any recess or Community Connections incidents that may occur, inclusive of next steps for scholar and/or family;
- Maintain inventory and care of equipment and materials for recess and community connections program;
Athletic Program
- Co-plan, co-manage, and support Middle Academy competitive athletic sports program that includes exposure to multiple sports over three seasons annually;
- Communicate with families and coaches regarding the athletic program, inclusive of scheduling, expectations, policies, and procedures;
- Maintain inventory and care of equipment and materials for the athletic program
Coordinator and School Services Associate Team
- Coach, develop, and co-manage an Operations & School Services Coordinator to support the Aftercare, Recess, Community Connections, and Athletics programs;
- Coach, develop, and co-manage a team of 10+ School Services Associates to execute various school services such as recess and aftercare programming;
- Provide daily observations, real-time coaching, and weekly feedback meetings that lead to team members’ development and support implementation of action steps;
- Co-conduct performance evaluations for all School Services Associates and Coordinator of Operations & School Services as aligned with Resurgence Hall performance rubrics;
- Maintain a fully staffed team, including mid-year and following school year hiring and on-boarding of School Services Associates and Coordinator of Operations & School Services;
- Lead and support professional learning for all Coordinator of Operations & School Services and School Services Associate team members
General
- Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Director of School Community.
Qualifications/Certification- All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree.
Physical Requirements- This job is physically demanding and may require standing and walking for extended periods of time and lifting heavy objects up to 40lbs.
Prior Experience- All candidates must have 3 years minimum full-time work experience in a school or similar education-based setting in operations, teaching, and/or after-school programming. Strong project and time management skills; juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely results. Sense of humility, urgency, and customer service mindset. Strong ability to proactively solve problems. Demonstrates organizational, project planning, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and use of G Suite (google apps) and PowerSchool SIS.
Hours - 10am - 6pm, Monday - Friday
