The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at California Baptist University invites applicants for the position of Lecturer in the Division of Social Work. The primary duties will include: teaching 21 units for the academic year, within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, with at least 50% of course assignments being within the Division of Social Work. The position will start August 2024.
Pay Range
The compensation for this appointment will range from $48,000-$50,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
Qualifications
The successful candidate at minimum should possess a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Applicants should possess demonstrated competency in clinical and community social work practice; lecture preparation; commitment to the faith integration in teaching; commitment to justice, compassion, and service; and a high aptitude in university teaching and student engagement.
Teaching Responsibilities
Duties including teaching 21 units per academic year, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, within the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. A strong interest and commitment to the integration of faith and learning in the practice of social work are required. Preference will be given to candidates with a history of quality teaching, notable scholarship, and demonstrated relational skills.
