Job description:
We are looking for an experienced title pre-processor and/or processor to join our close-knit team of attorneys. A successful candidate will have some experience in either closings, underwriting, title review, mortgage processing, mortgage lending, or real estate transactions, and a well-rounded skill set that includes customer service, analysis, and detailed research. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
· Be the first point of contact in handling incoming contracts for closing.
· Be the main point of contact for client inquiries and communications.
· Analyze and verify the accuracy of documentation such as leases, surveys, contracts, property title records, property ownership, public records, deeds, and agreements needed to produce a clear title.
· Clear title issues.
· Support attorneys and staff with administrative assistant essential duties, including clerical and data entry assistance.
· Manage files from opening to closing.
· Monitor scheduled closing dates and work with the team to ensure all deadlines are met.
· Follow up with Buyers, Sellers, Realtors, Lenders, Attorneys, and other third parties to ensure any required information and documentation needed to close the transaction is obtained.
Qualifications:
· Superb research, communications, customer service, and analysis skills are desired.
· Certification as a notary public is not required but is appreciated.
· Preference is 1-3 years of experience in title processing, real estate transactions, or as a mortgage loan processor or title company pre-processor.
· Proficient computer skills with numerous programs including MS Office are vital.
· Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
· Title curative experience.
· Familiarity with the Fund and Qualia Platforms is a plus.
· Analytical and detail-oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking.
· Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
· Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary.
· Develops professional relationships and builds rapport with others.
· Overall good work ethic and willingness to adapt to change.
