As a Wire 3 Construction Manager, you will be the Manager in charge of the assigned market segment areas. Your Team will be the face of Wire 3 in the communities that we intend to serve and responsible for providing the homeowners the best experience possible working in or around their property.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for all aspects of multiple operating units in their respective areas of responsibility overseen by the OSP-E. Main liaison between the VP of Construction and Filed Operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and will be familiar with business processes to include: Safety, production generation, cost containment and implementation of and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Responsible for safe work practices and implementing company safety programs for all subordinates throughout his/her area of responsibility.- Oversees their OSP-E direct reports and the day-to-day operations of construction projects.
- Utilizes the established company tracking methods and systems to measure and report crew productivity for reporting weekly job progress on the work. This includes determining, identifying and correcting problem areas on low productivity.
- Works directly with the Utility Coordinator on the utility locate schedule to ensure a continuous workflow and mitigate downtime for OSP placing crews.
- Manages relationships with internal utility locating labor, 3rd party private locate firms and the local governing Department of Public works Directors to maintain a solid workflow for operating crews.
- Make contacts and develop business relationships with local governing agencies, subcontractors, and vendors to meet or exceed production goals as established for their respective areas on the project work.
- May work independently performing site surveys, estimating, proposal preparation for underground to aerial placement budgeting, and quality assurance.
- Provides documentation, reports, and information to Regional Management as directed.
- Responsible for management and supervision of office administrative and operational management staff including performance appraisals.
- Approves weekly payroll and equipment reporting submitted by the OSP-E for their respective area within the Regional operating Unit.
- Manages the equipment fleet under their direction, maximizes utilization and coordinates maintenance.
- Manages and controls the procurement, use and application of tools.
- Additional duties as assigned
