LMFM is looking for a Vice President to join its growing real estate investment management business. This is a cross-functional position that will be working closely with the entire team, including senior leadership, and will encompass a variety of roles ranging from strategy, fundraising, investor relations, portfolio management, and fund operations. We are seeking a dynamic, versatile team player who can bring a broad mix of skills to our growing team.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage relationships with existing and new investors.
- Serve as a key point of contact for investors, responding promptly to inquiries on fund performance, investment strategies, and market insight.
- Work closely with senior leadership to manage the fund raising and due diligence process including investor negotiations and legal work
- Manage the legal and financial aspects of closing new fund investments in coordination with acquisitions team, internal legal, external legal, fund administrators and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and compile quarterly fund reporting packages by collaborating with acquisitions, asset management, accounting, and fund administrators. Ensure accurate and timely delivery to investors.
- Responsible for fund compliance with all legal, regulatory and investor requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all investor communications and reporting activities.
- Support investor due diligence processes by providing relevant information, addressing investor queries, and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential investors and market trends, contributing to fundraising strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance investor relations, foster long-term partnerships, streamline reporting processes, and leverage technology for efficiency gains.
- Support key strategic initiatives such as asset disposition strategies and unwinding of funds, asset level refinancings and management of credit facilities.
- Work closely with senior leadership on special projects that may include review of insurance programs, new fund strategies, launching new businesses and identifying opportunities to improve current processes.
- Work with asset management across different LMFM verticals to continue streamlining processes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to a diverse audience.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute business objectives.
- Leadership experience, with demonstrated success in driving results, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Extremely versatile, accustomed to “wearing many hats” and shifting between them.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires execution of recurring deliverables as well as projects and initiatives in support of a growing business.
Years of Industry Experience Required:
- 7+ years of experience in real estate private equity
