Summary: Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Beautification Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Beautification unit projects which includes: Graffiti Removal, Clean Streets, Landscaping, and Clean LA. This role will assist in the development and implementation of programs and services and supervising program staff. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 6:00 am and 3:30 pm. Weekend availability is required.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide peer support and monitoring for program staff:
- Supports Clean LA Participants toward meeting their professional development and KYCC’s staff retention goals.
- Collaborate with program supervisors on staff evaluations and feedback.
- Conduct daily tracking of employees, captures, documents, and reports retention milestones as part of regular staff evaluations.
- Ensure required documentation, accurate data tracking, reporting, etc. are completed appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Support unit's peers to achieve professional development goals and improved health and well- being:
- Research/ Identify new training opportunities, including vocational training and educational resources that are aligned with KYCC’s professional development and staff retention goals.
- Develop rapport and cultivate meaningful and productive communication and development goals with unit peers.
- Assist unit peers with accessing training, counseling, and other support resources toward meeting their professional development goals.
- Support staff by assisting them identify, plan and carry out new skills development goals.
- Understand, follow through and document support plans, goals, activities, progress, etc.
- Provide support, identify constraints and challenges that prevent the staff from having a positive impact on their work performance and professional development goals.
- Facilitate activities and dialogue that help develop understanding and appreciation for KYCC’s agency mission, Theory of Change and Intended Impacts.
- Stay up to date with the agency’s health/ wellness policies, guidelines, resources, and ensure awareness of and access to them by peers.
- Provide safeguards and appropriately support challenging situations.
- Support individuals develop and maintain positive interpersonal behavioral practices to avoid challenging situations and promote respect and dignity in the workplace.
- Ensure access to proper safety training and awareness by all peers.
- Know and exercise proper protocols/ techniques when responding to emergencies and incidents that impact work performance, such as accidents, personal loss, etc.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications (All applicants MUST meet the minimum qualifications):
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent extensive field experience.
- Ability to complete successfully and maintain required trainings and certifications.
- Listen carefully and communicate respectfully and clearly with the people you support.
- Demonstrate fairness, an open mind, and consistency when addressing situations.
- Ability to organize and prepare documentation in a timely manner.

- A valid Class C California Driver License.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Seeing to inspect the field and written documents; ability to communicate with KYCC staff, clients and public; sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; bending, kneeling and reaching to retrieve and replace files; and dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual capacity (Spanish/English or Korean/English).
- Prior experience in employment services.
- Proficient in operating Microsoft office software.
