We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Catering Coordinator to join our team.
The Catering Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations, ensuring seamless execution of events, and providing exceptional customer service.
**Responsibilities:**
- Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and accommodating demeanor while building relationships
- Accurately responding to all catering inquiries in a timely manner
- Making daily calls to increase bookings
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Creatively find ways to stay within the designated budget per event while meeting guests’ needs
- Proactively upsells food/beverage offerings
- Sending Invoices
- Ensures all payments are received in a timely manner and responsible for reaching out to guests with outstanding balances
- Organizing/maintaining all guest information
- Effectively communicating with the team to ensure all applicable information is conveyed
- Obtain feedback from clients following each special event and analyze client satisfaction and organizational performance
- Manage catering staff, including scheduling
- Assist in menu planning and pricing strategies
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in catering, food service, or restaurant management
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors and team members
- Knowledge of POS systems and inventory control
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Hospitality management or related degree is a plus
