Apartment community looking to start a full time leasing agent ASAP!
Career Strategies Inc. is seeking an employee with excellent people skills, sales experience, leasing experience, high energy, positive attitude, and excellent work ethic that wants the opportunity to grow with a Property Management Company.
As a Leasing Consultant you would be the property's sales representative whose primary duties include greeting prospective residents with the best possible customer service, showing all features, amenities, and benefits in a professional manner to properly secure lease agreements. You will also be responsible to work on growing our network of prospective tenants. This position reports to the property manager.
Apartment Leasing Consultant Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Greet visitors (residents, future residents and internal team members)
- Answer inquiries by phone and email
- Schedule appointments
- Provide tours and promote attractive community features
- Handling the collection of rent payments, security deposits and application fees.
- Prepare and submit application materials for approval, leasing documents.
- Follow up with prospects after viewing homes or submitting applications
- Records visitor traffic, leasing status and community complaints
- Keeping residents informed of any changes to rental agreements or upcoming property issues.
- Prepares service requests
- Prepares move-in / move-out notices, inspections or procedures
- Plans and coordinates events
- Prepares and distributes move-in packets and gifts for new residents
Apartment Leasing Consultant Required Skills:
- At least 6 months of leasing experience required
- In-depth understanding of the real estate industry, including laws, policies and best practices
- Available to work weekends
- Apartment Leasing / Fair Housing knowledge
- Excellent sales skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information
- Must be well organized
- Professional appearance
- Reliable means of transportation
- Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision
- Office skills: customer service, typing, clerical, computer, telephone
Tax credit/Section 8, fair housing laws, property management software such as YARDI, MRI, ONESITE, POP CARD, or YIELDSTAR are a PLUS.
Education Requirements
A minimum of a high school education is required.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
