Position Overview: Serve as main point of contact for company and O/O drivers operating during work shift. Maximize freight coverage and driver revenue and minimize LFD expenses and potential errors by working in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Promptly assist drivers with any equipment issues, detention time, rail billing, and any additional requests made by driver. Also, help assign trucks to company drivers starting their shift.
Essential Functions:

Must exercise discretion and use independent judgment when relating customer requests, appointment time and assigning orders to specific drivers daily to run road, local, or city.

Maintain A to B dispatching

Complete pros in SWS as they are completed by the driver

Handle driver service failures including the authority to issue verbal and/or written discipline. Additionally, contact Manager/CSR team regarding the failure.

Notify day-shift DSP and CSR teams of any discrepancies, anomalies, or issues that occurred on night shift that may impact day operations

Monitor and address any MobileComm communications while confirming departures and arrivals

Track/Maintain INCA yard report, MDR, CNI, and Divisional Pool as needed

Actively participate in driver recruiting and retention

Keeps track of fleet truck assignments and back-up trucks available

Request rail billing
