Role Purpose
EventsAir BDRs are conduits between buyers and the larger sales organisation. Our job is to understand, empathise and guide buyers in a helpful direction, in a likeable, credible way. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic SaaS (Software as a Service) team.
As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and qualifying prospective clients. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities and building a pipeline of qualified leads. You will be responsible for outbound pipeline generation as well as inbound lead qualification.
This role is a fully remote role, working out of the USA, with the ideal candidate being located in Birmingham, Alabama.
Role Responsibilities
- Generate new opportunities by establishing relationships with buyers through one-to-one outreach calls and touches
- Complete campaigns and sequences which aim to educate and persuade buyers to progress to the discovery or demo stage
- Establish connections within key or target accounts and aim to commercialize those relationships
- Create likability for oneself and the EventsAir brand at every touch point, especially during the initial screening/qualification call of inbound MQLs
- Improve the buying/selling journey by enriching the CRM with buyer insights to help guide conversations with Account Executives
- Administer the transition from the MQL qualifying stage to the SQL/Discovery stage, with a focus on Discovery Call attendance
- Consistently improve messaging, cadence, list targeting, sales craft, automation, and processes
- Manage a Daily Action Plan, ensuring we always know whom we ae contacting and how we plan to help them
- Participate in Pipeline Reviews, Sales Craft Training, QBRs, and other team meetings and improvement processes
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and CS to ensure a cohesive buying journey - removing friction and increasing delight
- Comply with all processes, policies, and procedures
- Abide by the standards and values set out by EventsAir Code of Conduct
Objectives and KPI's
Each BDR will have set Objectives and KPIs, which align with the requirements of the sales team, as well as the compensation and incentive plan for that BDR (information about specific targets and incentives will be provided separately). You will also be required to do the following:
- Generate new MQLs via targeted outbound & outreach campaigns.
- Convert outbound MQLs into qualified sales opportunities & disco calls.
- Convert inbound MQLS into qualified sales opportunities and disco calls.
What Are We Looking for in This Role?
- Experience in sales, account management, or customer service is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Experience with CRM software, SaaS, or technology businesses is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet and exceed activity/success targets.
- Collaboration is critical for sales and Marketing Alignment.
- Ability to manage one’s time and output.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365.
- Impressive performance against targets.
- Strong commercial presentation, awareness, and acumen.
- Strong ability to work and make decisions independently.
- Strong knowledge of B2B buying process.
